ceterorum

The name of a kind of administration, which, after an administration has been granted for a limited purpose, is granted for the rest of the estate. For example, where a wife had a right to devise or bequeath certain stock, and she made a will of the same, but there were accumulations that did not pass, the husband might take out letters of administration caeterorum.
