cubage
a method of appraising property using the cost approach. The front, or width, of the building is multiplied by the depth of the building and by its height, figured from the floor of the basement to the outer surfaces of the exterior walls and roof. The total cubic measurement is then multiplied by a cost-per-cubic-foot factor to obtain the appraisal figure.
