bigamy
That ground for dissolution which is based on a person having two spouses at the same time. Bigamy under the prevailing American view is an offense of absolute liability. A defendant remarrying under a bona fide mistake of fact may be guilty if the belief in the spouses death was based on lack of due diligence in determining the facts.
