slumlord
A slang term used to describe a landlord of a rental property that is rundown and in disrepair. The goal of a slumlord is to put the least amount of money possible in a property and take the most they can out of it, for as long as they can. In some cases, a slumlord will purposely break landlord/tenant laws in order to increase their profits.
